I have Peter & Hamutal's daughter, Martha FOY, as having married Wm. Dannette HILL (his mother was "Dorcas Hill") and their children included: daughters Dorcas HILL, Lethey HILL, and sons Samuel HILL and William HILL.

Our family tradition holds that Peter FOY (1745 - 1 March 1782) and Hamutal MOORE (1750 - 1810) were married in Wilmington, New Hanover County, NC, in 1769, but I cannot prove this tradition. In 1769 Peter received a Royal Land Grant from George III for 100 acres surrounded on all sides by vacant land in what was then in Colleton County SC. Peter fought in a mounted SC Militia Company late in the Revolution and was killed at Carter's House/Cloud Creek on 1 March 1782, massacred by "Bloody Bill" Cunningham's Tory Raiders. Hamutal collected Peter's back pay and later married William Wilson.

Elizabeth married an ANSEL STRONG in 1822. It appears this is not the same ANSEL STRONG that was living in nearby Onondaga County, New York, because he was still married to his first wife, Hannah Stocking. After Hannah's death in 1826, he married second a Ruth FULLER and third a Hannah BENNETT. He therefore probably did NOT marry Elizabeth Frayer.

After Olive died, Joseph remarried. At the time of the 1900 census, Joseph was living with his second wife, Lavernia, in Newton County Texas, along with Arrilla, John and Alice, all born to he and Olive, and with his four children by Lavernia, Prentice, Myrtle, Jesse and Maud. The census indicates they married circa 1891, and that Lavernia was the mother of 4 children, all of whom were still living. An 18 year old Gilbert HANY, listed as a boarder, was living with them as well. Perhaps he was a brother of Lavernia's.

At the time of the 1910 Federal census, she was living with her youngest daughter and son-in-law, Adelaide and Walter Averill, in Pine Rock, Ogle County, Illinois.
Her FindAGrave memorial page, created by Gene Phillips, shows her as a daughter of William Finley FROST (FAG#33069805) and Josephine Henrietta WEEKLEY (FAG#33069796).
The son of Thomas Clayborne Frost and Lillie Clark Beall, and grandson of Thomas Clayborne Frost of Alabama, the founder of Frost National Bank.
From the FROST NATIONAL BANK website:
"When it comes to doing business here, it's essential to understand Texans, their proud heritage, their fierce loyalty. At Frost Bank, our Texas roots are deep, with a history that weaves through five generations and spans more than a century. From its inception as a small downtown San Antonio bank in 1868, Frost Bank has grown into a multi-billion dollar, full-service financial institution. Twice in the 20th century, the bank survived two of the most devastating economic collapses of our time-- the Great Depression in the 1930s and the economic downturn of the 1980s-- to become the largest national bank headquartered in Texas. Today Frost Bank is located in all major Texas markets. Sophisticated banking isn't about flashy products and deals. It's about building genuine one-on-one relationships-- the kind you can count on. It's something Frost Bank has been perfecting for a long time. Developing relationships with Texans is exactly what Thomas Claiborne Frost had in mind when he founded Frost Bank. Born in Jackson County, Alabama in 1833, T.C. Frost arrived in Texas after graduating from college to take a job as a professor. He then studied law, his license being signed by Judge R.E.B. Baylor for whom Baylor University was named. Later he was appointed as a Texas Ranger. He became immersed in Texas business and state affairs, serving as a postmaster, a real estate professional, a lawyer and a county district attorney. During the Civil War, Frost served in the Confederate Army, first as a captain, then a colonel-- a title that would stay with him all his life. After the war, Frost joined his brother and a third partner operating Fitch, Frost and Bro., a mercantile and auction business on San Antonio's Main Plaza. Within a few years of its beginning in 1868, the company expanded into the wool commission business. The Colonel provided credit until wool prices rose, which cemented his business relationships. And, Frost Bank was born. For nearly 20 years, Frost operated the private bank, financing his customers' wool goods. Then, in 1899, he obtained a national charter for his $1.3 million bank. That move paved the way for Frost Bank to become one of the major financial forces behind the economic growth of both San Antonio and Texas. Over the next 25 years, prosperity abounded-- both locally and nationally. Col. Frost died in 1903, leaving behind a strong bank with deep roots in the state and a commitment to Texas values. As the economic boom boosted construction, real estate, and investment in the stock market, Frost Bank supported the growth through loans, investments and community involvement. By 1922, the bank built a 12-story skyscraper on Main Plaza where the original business once stood. And in 1928, under the guidance of the Frost family, the bank merged with San Antonio's oldest bank, Lockwood National Bank."

Albert came alone to America in 1902 at the age of seventeen, to work for Vaclav Bernasek, whose mother was a Frycek. Albert became a citizen in 1906 at the District Court in Wilber. He set up his own homestead near Chugwater, Wyoming, but returned to Milligan to work for Joseph Jicha as a bartender at Central Hall. He was a member of ZCBJ Lodge and the Knights of Pythias. He and Marie helped perform many Czech plays at the Central Hall. Albert later worked for his father-in-law at the flour exchange, feed store and cream station. They bought a building in 1922 and engaged in the furniture, ambulance and undertaking business. In 1934, Albert had a heart attack and died after being called to the scene of a two car collison with eight people injured. Lillian continued the business until 1938, at which time she sold it to her brother, J.V. Kotas. She then opened a cafe and tavern in the building. Lillian had to work for quite a few years after Albert's death to pay off the mortgage on her home (Milligan, 272-273).
Bohumil moved to Christina, Montana with his brothers. After one of this brothers died, he returned to Milligan in 1940. He was called to active duty during World War II, and served in the Army. After his tour of duty, he returned to Milligan, where he and Rose ran the farm that had belonged to her parents where she was born and raised. Bob died in a tractor accident in 1967 (Milligan, 273).
Evelyn was blessed with a lovely soprano voice and sang at many Memorial Day programs at Milligan and with the Steinacher Dance Band. Prior to her marriage, she helped her widowed mother run the Checker Cafe. After they rented out the building, she went to work for the Florence Home for the Aged. During the war, she worked at the Hasting Naval Base. (Milligan, p 281).
Frank and Terezie came to America from Kralovic, Czechoslovakia in 1904, along with children Marie, Jim, Frank and Bohumil. Their older son, Albert, had preceded them by two years. When they first arrived, they went to the farm home of Frank and Marie (Bernasek) KOTTAS. Marie's mother was Marie FRYCEK. Frank and Terezie farmed in Milligan for 11 years, later moving to Christina, Montana to farm. (Milligan, 273-274).
A hard working person, Marie spent a great deal of time at the mill sacking flour, and doing other jobs. Despite her busy schedule she always managed to find time to help others. (Milligan, p 327).
Her Virginia Death Certificate shows her as being born in Claybournce County, Tennessee to Colby Fugate, born Tenn, and Virginia Bacon, born Virginia. Informant was J. M. McLemore of Wise. Burial was shown as at Glencoe Cemetery.
