At the time of the 1910 Oklahoma Census, a Stella WEST was listed as a boarder in the home of Samuel Massey(?) in Baucum Twp, Jackson County, Oklahoma. She was listed as Female, White, age 18, Married, born in Texas, with both parents born in Texas. The column about her ability to read and write was left blank, so it is probable that someone other than she gave her information to the enumerator. Although she is listed as married, she is living apart from her husband. He son Roy West was born about 17 months after this listing, so presumably she and her husband were reunited, at least briefly.
Her son by a subsequent marriage, Cecil Afton Lewis, was born some two years after Roy. Both were born in Jackson County.
At the time of the 1920 Federal census, Stella and Will Lewis were renting a home at 129 Chickasha Avenue in Chickasha. Their census listing read as follows:

The son of George CRUSE and Rose MAU. A Military Marker at his grave is embossed with a cross and the inscription "George I Cruse, S Sgt US Army, World War II, Jan 6, 1918-Mar 22, 2003."
He was living in Lawrence, Comanche County, Oklahoma at the time of the 1940 census, in a household with his brother and sister-in-law T(h)omas?/indexed as Jomas and Della Crutcher. Five years prior to that, he has lived in Follett, Texas. He was born in Oklahoma, had attended one year of High School, and was working as a farm laborer. At the time of the 1930 enumeration, T.C. Cruther and Robert were listed as sons in the home of S. O. and Sallie Crutcher of Teennesse. The family resided in Lawrence at that time as well.
The daughter of George and Dicey Hoskins Crutchfield. George Crutchfield, her father, was a veteran of the revolutionary war. (Noble, page 71). Her family moved from Virginia into Kentucky, and later moved south into Tennessee. (Henson & Parmelee, page 4). On the 1880 census, son George indicates his mother was born in Virginia. "The Cartwrights of San Augustine" indicated that she grew up in Smith County, Tennessee, and that her four sisters and three brothers mostly remained in Smith County for the rest of their lifes.
Mary suffered from recurring malaria since at least 1847, and died ten days after son Clinton succumbed to the same disease. In twenty-two months, the three surviving Cartwright brothers has lost two sisters, a brother and their mother. (Hemson and Parmelee, pp. 153-154).

Bruce Cudly, 71, of Lincoln, entered eternal peace on Sunday, June 2nd at home with his wife DeAnn, children, family and loved ones, and his beloved dog Sophie by his side.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Esther (Renner) Cudly, many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, infant nephew, and father-in-law.
He is survived by his wife, DeAnn; sons, Matt,(Erin) of Panama City, FL, David,(Lauren) of Austin TX, and Gabe Kanne of Lincoln; Daughter, Hannah (Cory) Watermeir of Austin, TX; Sister, Sue Menke; Godson and nephew, Jeremy (Shannon), niece Alyssa (Brian) Felcher, Grandchildren, Connor, Christine, David, Emma and one more on the way. Grand-Nephews, Brendan and Aiden; Mother-in-law, JoAnn Roti (Gary),Sister-in-law, Gretchen (Rick) Roti, and Brother-in-law, Jayson (Ava) Roti.
Family is, even in death, everything to Bruce. No matter the distance, the time, the ups, the downs, family was and is his touchstone. As was his work family, his church family, his hunting brothers, his llama family, his volleyball family, his MS bike ride family, his scouting family, as well as his extensive family of friends and neighbors, both lifelong and new.
Bruce enjoyed going to work each day. Seriously! He devoted almost 42 years of service to promoting quality of services and supports to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in Nebraska. Bruce's work started in a vocational support setting in Lincoln under the office known as LOMR. He went on to have an illustrious career as one of Nebraska's leading advocates for the rights of those with disabilities. Bruce served as the Director of Organizational Supports for Region V Services (now APACE) which serves Southeast Nebraska. Bruce helped craft regulatory language within Nebraska and developed and trained countless staff to ensure the dignity and respect for those that Region V supported. He has positively impacted the lives of thousands of people and his accomplishments will be forever within the DNA of Nebraska's services for citizens with disabilities. Bruce was a long-time board member and two-time President for the Nebraska Association of Community Professionals. Bruce received recognition, earning 2 significant awards: The Bob Schalock Award from the Association of Community Professionals, which is the highest honor in the state, and the American Association for Mental Retardation Professional of the Year Award.
He was a devoted member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church, and together with DeAnn, he was actively involved in the FEAST ministry, offering support, classes, meals, and friendship to individuals transitioning from the correctional center back into the community.
In 2007, Bruce initiated fundraising efforts for the MS Society by participating in bike rides in Nebraska and the 350-mile RAM ride in Minnesota. Over time, many friends joined him, formed a team and eventually DeAnn was able to accompany via air conditioned camper.
Bruce was an avid lover of music, particularly blues and jazz. He enjoyed, supported and even helped fundraise for local radio station KZUM. He frequently attended symphonies, concerts, and kept The Zoo Bar musical calendar prominently posted. He also enjoyed the folk music coffee houses venues and he and DeAnn were regulars at the Crecent Moon Songwriters night until he became too ill.
Bruce had a passion for reading?everything! He read DeAnn the newspaper highlights everyday, and the advice columns from several papers. He wasn't into Wheel but he watched Jeopardy twice a day.
Bruce was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hunting, fishing, and various camping.
He was also played volleyball for nearly 40 years and even after he couldn't play anymore, he still attended their get togethers.
Bruce cherished his lifelong friendships, especially with his college and high school friends, the Llamas, with whom he gathered annually for the Spring Cotillion for over 50 years. Most importantly, he was a deeply loved and respected friend, father, papa, uncle, brother and husband.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 4:00PM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Lincoln immediately followed by a Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be designated to the family for future designation.
