Joseph Thomas Adams1858 - 1937 (78 years)Loading... Adams, Joseph Thomas "Uncle Tom" In the late eighties Tom Adams left Jack County with a herd of cattle and started to Arizona with them. When he got west of Benjamin, about where the Ross and Moorhouse ranches are now, the grass and water were never better, so he just turned his cattle loose and said, "This is Arizona enough for me," so that part of the country went by the name of "Little Arizona" in the early days.
