Striffler, Uncle John's Farm The family gathered at Uncle John's farm after the felling of a particularly large pine tree on March 8, 1905. The tree was 112 feet tall and 4 feet, 7 inches in diameter. Lena Mark Schwegler identified the women standing to the left as Esther Striffler, Miss Klump, Lillian Striffler and Mattie Striffler. Just to their right, with the long white beard, is John Stiffler, the family partriarch. The youngest boys are Stanley, Paul and Will Bien.
