Roy Newell West1911 - 1964 (52 years)Loading... IS ROY WEST THE FIRST MAN TO THE LEFT OF THE BACK ROW? This photo was one of a series of photos taken in the early 1940's at Medicine Park, Oklahoma, on the edge of the Wichita Wildlife Refuge, with Mt. Scott as a backdrop. This park began its life in 1908, the year following the return of the bison to Wildlife Refuge. It was the first planned resort town in Oklahoma, the red round cannonball sized stone is an unique naturally formation occurring in the Wichita Mountains.
