Caroline Payne Gooch was a stepdaughter of Thompson Allen, and in 1910 she provided this three page affidavit to the Sabine County Clerk. This appears to be a transcript of the original (transcriber unknown) affidavit, which is said to be recorded in the Sabine County records Book, Vol. 6, Page 53.
