Burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Ms. Childress was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, the daughter of the late Tilman Newton & Ollie Williams Towry. She was a farmer, housewife and a member of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard Childress in 2005; 3 sisters: Evelyn Towry, Peggy Towry Phillips, Carolyn Towry Hornbuckle and 4 brothers: Wilford, Garner, Orville & Virgil Towry. Survivors include 1 sister: Marie Roland of Fayetteville, TN; 5 brothers: Thomas Towry & wife: Ethel of Hildale, MI, Cletus Towry of Fayetteville, TN, Dallas Towry & wife: Hazel of Taylor, MI, Wade Towry & wife: Connie of Chicago, IL, Clyde Towry & wife: Betty of Fayetteville, TN and several nieces and nephews.
