William E. "Bill" Savant Jr., 77, of Brookeland died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011.
He was born Feb. 1, 1934, in Groves to Lucy Johnson and William Earl Savant Sr.
Bill was a retired electrician for IBEW #479 and was employed for over 42 years. He enjoyed fishing, taking photos, working in his yard, and spending time with his grandchildren and beloved pet, Daisy.
Survivors: his wife of 58 years, Cheryl Ann Savant of Brookeland; children, Linda Lovelace and her husband, Marty of Nederland, Robert Savant of Corrigan, and Debbie Redding and her husband, Pat of Silsbee; grandchildren, Brandon Lovelace, Kendra Savant, Christopher Lovelace and his wife, Meredith, Jessica Redding, Alicia Savant, James Savant, Lindsey Redding; and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas E. Savant; and sister, Lynn Otto.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland. Interment followed at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Services were under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary, Nederland.
