  Notes	From FindAGrave: HANOVER - Betty Louise (Cornbower) Myers, 80, formerly of Jefferson and Brodbecks, died peacefully at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2008, at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover. She was the wife of George E. Myers who died in 2002, and Donald L. Myers, who died in 1981. The funeral service for Mrs. Myers will be held in thanksgiving for her life at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6 York St., Jefferson, with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Snyder officiating. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in Jefferson Cemetery. Irwin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Spring Grove, is coordinating the arrangements. Betty was born August 9, 1928, in Codorus Twp., daughter of the late Elmer F. and Theda Mae (Shive) Cornbower. Betty was a 1945 graduate of the former Codorus Twp. High School. She was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary in Hanover; a charter member of the Jefferson Chapter 3699 AARP; and charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company. She dedicated her life to making a loving home for her family and was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson. Betty will be sadly missed by her six children, Elmer A. Myers of Mechanicsburg, Eugene W. Myers of Allen, Texas, Anna L. Baile of Hanover, Herbert J. Myers of Dover, Ted F. Myers of Codorus, and Steven R. Myers of Spring Grove; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven step-children; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Clair E. Cornbower.
