  Notes	Clara A. Barber Clara Anne Barber, 65, of Cameron, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Newton officiating. A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 26) at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Southern Pines. Mrs. Barber was born in Hoke County, and was a daughter of the late John and Alma Pierce Chavis. She received a degree in psychology from Sandhills Community College, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She also worked as a wallpaper hanger in the Sandhills for many years. She was an avid bowler and Duke Blue Devils fan, and she enjoyed cooking for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking special trips with her sisters. She was preceded in death by two sons, Terry McLemore and Tilghman McLemore. Mrs. Barber is survived by her husband, John; three sons, Andrew Barber and his wife, Shay, of Cameron, Raymond Barber and his wife, Michele, and William Barber, all of West End; four daughters, Sandra Salmon and her husband, Ray, Patricia Hallman and her husband, Anthony, all of Carthage, Ellen Kiser and her husband, Ronnie, of Macclenny, Fla., and Jennifer Clute and her husband, Chas, of Oak Island; six sisters, Viola Burwell, of Southern Pines, Rosa Slawson, of Goose Creek, S.C., Iona Phillips, of Chester, Va., Irene Sierpien, of Warren, Mich., Della Hord, of Vass, and Linda Garner, of Lexington; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
