      Selman Bo Clark, 80, passed away on February 22, 2011 in Beaumont, Texas. He was born October 4, 1930 to Levi Hulon and Willie Fern (Selman) Clark in Camp Nancy, Angelina County, TX.

      Funeral services will be on Friday, at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, Beaumont, with Dr. Chris Moody, Reverend Larry Walker, and Chaplain David Cross officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., Antioch Cemetery in Buna, Texas.

      Mr. Clark was inducted into the US Army in 1952. Due to his extensive construction experience, he was attached to the US Air Force in a group known as SCARWAF, the name given to those army personnel attached to the US Air Force. Selman worked for R.F. Farnsworth and helped build Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. He continued his career with Baptist, working through various positions and retired in 1994, after 38 years as President and CEO of the Baptist Healthcare System. Mr. Clark served his community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, YMBL, Cardinal and Rotary Clubs, a deacon, trustee and taught the Gabriel Sunday School class for many years at First Baptist Church, SE Texas Healthy Planning Advisory, EMS Commission, and the Advisory Board of Beaumont EMS.

      Mr. Clark is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Hulon Rayford Clark. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Mildred Clark; sons, Jon Selman Clark and Scott Clark and wife, Terri; grandchildren, Aaron Clark, Cole Clark And wife, Danielle, Seth Clark, Luke Clark, Kati Clark, Morgan Clark and Marshall Clark; brothers, Tom Clark, Jerry Clark and Gary Clark; sister-in-law, Billie Jeanne Clark, and two great-grandchildren.
