- Funeral services for Mrs. Janelle Dickerson, age 74, of Lufkin, Texas will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, San Augustine. Visitation will be Monday, August 4, 2014, 5 til 8 pm at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dickerson was born December 31, 1939, in San Augustine County, to the late Oleta (Wall) and C.V. Neumeyer. She entered into rest August 2, 2014, in Lufkin.
She was a beautician, owned Nell's Pasty Shop in Hemphill, and was a cake decorator for TCBY in Lufkin. She was a member of the Fuller Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dickerson is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Dickerson of Lufkin; daughters, Debra (Kenneth) Spears of Corpus Christi, Lynn (Leonard) Lamb of Pollock and Charlotte Dickerson of Lufkin; grandchildren, Stephanie Spears (Adam) Tipton; Laurel Lamb (Michael) Strickland, Lance Lamb, and Erin Hearn; great-grandchildren, Logan Lamb, Cameron, Harleigh and Mackenzie Strickland, Madison Hearn, and Lacey Dickerson; sister, Barbara (David) Plagens of Rosenburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sandra Hightower, Vivian (Eudeline) Dickerson, Wanda (Royce) Wall, and Martha Dickerson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dwayne Hightower; and brother-in-law, Maurice Dickerson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fuller Springs Baptist Church or The American Kidney Association. Funeral services under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.
