The 1910 U.S. Passport application for Isidor Friedman, wife Lena, and son Samuel, born in Schenectedy lists Isaac's place of birth as Ungwar, Hungary on 14 Aug 1858, and further stated he emigrated to the US sailing on board the Vrinar from Breman on or about 15 July 1893, residing for 17 years in city of Schenectedy. He was 5'3 inches tall, with a high forehead, brown eyes, straight nose, full mouth, short chin, dark hair and auburn complextion.

- The 1910 Schenectady County, NY Census shows Isadore and Lena had been married for 28 years, making the year of their marriage ca 1882.This was shown as the first marriage for them both. Lena was shown as having given birth to 16 children in total, only 12 of them still living in 1910.
Isaac, Lena, and the four eldest children in their home at the time of the 1910 census were all shown as born in Hungary, with their native tongue being German. Isaac immigrated in 1892, with his wife and four oldest children arriving four years later, in 1896. Isaac and son William were both shown as naturalized citizens by 1910.
