- Hadassah McLemore Payne ATHENS -- Funeral for Hadassah McLemore Payne, 81, of Athens will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Barker Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Payne died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at her home. She was born March 12, 1921, in Lauderdale County to Mclin McLemore and Lora McLemore. She was a member of the Baptist church and retired from Calhoun Community College. Survivors include one son, Donald R. Payne of Athens; four daughters, Rozella Coggin, Glenda Rogers and Janet Smith, all of Athens, and Patricia Zmuda of Camden, Ark.; one sister, Myrle Hill of Madison; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County
