In her annotated transcription of the Hemphill City Cemetery, Kay Parker McCary notes that their double marker is inscribed "Our loved ones are gone, but not forgotten.." She further notes that Lena has another marker at foor of D. A. Salter, Jr.. that says: 1892-1949, At Rest.
