She graduated from Pineland High School and was an All-District basketball player. She loved fishing with her husband and family. She loved working in health care as a caregiver. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Antioch-Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Her survivors include daughters Abigail Adkins of Milam, Belinda Brady and husband Albert of Gatesville; sons Jeff Boyd and wife Rexcine of San Augustine, David Boyd and wife Gia of Milam, John Boyd and wife Karen of Palestine, Brent Boyd and wife Teri of San Augustine; 12 Grandchildren; 26 Great-grandchildren; 4 Great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband C. D. Boyd; father Claude Townsend; mother Alma Walker; brothers Roy Townsend, Kenneth Wayne Townsend; granddaughters Candice Chrisman, Amanda Adkins; great-grandson Ethen Boyd Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, located at 316 W. Columbia St. in San Augustine, Texas. Funeral services are set for 2:00 pm Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel. There will be a private committal service at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
