- Gladys Loos, 85, of Lincoln, died Wednesday (1/6/10) in Lincoln, surrounded by family. She was born March 6, 1924, near Dorchester to Anton and Lizzie (Hass) Rohla, the youngest of four children. She attended rural elementary school near Saline Center and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1941. She married Russell Loos of Western in August 1941. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in 1997. Gladys was a past Chapter Commander, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and 75-year member of ZCBJ. For more than 20 years, she staffed the Nebraska Bookstore postal station. Later in life, she became active in Widowed Persons gatherings and lunches.
