- Attended the University of Nebraska, graduating in 1937. For five years she was employed as assistant chemist at the Gooch Mills. She served three years with the Naval reserve attaining the rank of Chief Pharmacists Mate. She was also employed at the Brewster Clinic at Holdrege, Nebraska, as Chief Medical Technologist. After moving with her husband to the state of Washington, Ann worked as a Lab Technologist at Kadlec Hospital Clinic for eight years and Columbia Medical Laboratory of 21 years. (Milligan, p 473)
