Notes |
- In her weekly Sabine County Reporter column, "On the Bright Side", Mary Howell wrote that she remembered "Clyde and Annie (???) Fuller, who owned and operated a barber and beauty shop on the Hemphill square. Inside the beauty shop was an old fashioned curling apparatus resembling a metal octopus which was used to give permanent waves to ladies. The Fuller home property was located where the modern Ashley Furniture HomeStore now stands. The old water well which was used by the Fullers is now a decorative attraction inside the beautiful store." (Page 4, July 18, 2007).
Note: There appears to be another Clyde Fuller in Sabine County, Texas in 1920. The other Clyde Fuller was born ca 1878 in Illinois.
