Sally Mae Woods Miles
Sally Mae Woods Miles, 81, of Houston, died Saturday, April 20, 1996, at Pasadena Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena.
Born April 16, 1915, in San Augustine, she was a seamstress and member of the San Augustine First Baptist Church. Mrs. Miles was also a member of the Ezekiel Cullen Chapter Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the John Gillespie Chapter #257 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors: son, Homer Miles of Houston; daughters, Alice Miles Stickney of Dallas, Erma Miles DeFee and Karon Miles Krebs, both of Houston, and Ernie Miles Smith of Brazoria; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, San Augustine, with Bro. Jim Moss officiating. Interment followed at McMahan's Chapel Cemetery near Geneva in Sabine County. Arrangements were handled by Wyman Roberts Funeral Chapel, San Augustine.
