Margie Sue Burkhalter
Margie Sue Burkhalter, 65, of 2272 Philmore, Beaumont, died Thursday, June 23, 1994, at the Regional Medical Center Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Johnny Creasong and Floyd Wright officiating. Interment followed at Gravelhill Cemetery in Sabine County.
Mrs. Burkhalter was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Sabine County as a daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Arie Elizabeth (Strickland) Campbell. She was a member of the Church of God and had lived in Beaumont for 48 years.
Survivors: husband, A. Z. Burkhalter of Beaumont; a granddaughter, Kristen Burkhalter; and two brothers, Jim Campbell of Hemphill and J. A. Campbell of Pasedena.
