- James A. Pratt Jr. passed away March 1, 2009, at Nacogdoches Medical Center. He was born November 6, 1932, in Lufkin, Texas, to James Pratt Sr. and Abbie Pratt.
Mr. Pratt was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served during the Vietnam War. He loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Holl and husband, Mark, of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Gale Harrington and husband, Will, of Rapid City, South Dakota; a son, James A. Pratt III of Palestine, Texas; granddaughters, Allison Holl, Michelle Holl, Jennifer Holl and Christine Harrington; and a grandson, Steven Harrington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Eveline Bowsher Pratt; and his parents, James A. Pratt Sr. and Abbie Lee Pratt. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors -- Wade Alexander, director.
