Gentry, 91, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church Sanctuary. Entombment will follow in the Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Alma Gentry was born September 1, 1918, to Miles Edward & Beulah Grace Givens in Ninnekah, Okla. Alma died peacefully Friday, January 15, 2010, at 91 years of life. Alma was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James; brothers, Percy, Doris (DA); sisters, Verna, Alta, Evelyn, Maurine, & Bobbie; great-grandson, Alexander Lee. Alma was a devoted homemaker for 50 years. She is survived by her brother, Duard of Indiahoma, Okla.; sons, Danny, Fred, and Jimmy, all of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Colby, Kyle, Deric, Julie, Betty of Wichita Falls, Marc, Laura, Kevin of Houston; and 13 beautiful great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their satisfaction of care from the staff of House of Hope and Hospice, their care and dedication to Alma was beyond caring, it was love and more love, forever we will be grateful. The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. - Romans 5:5 The family will be at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home for visitation from 5 to 6 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010. Services will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Sanctuary of First Christian Church on Taft Street. Entombment will be in the Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum.
