  Notes	Sabine County Reporter 13 February 2002 John Bertis Fullen John Bertis Fullen, 84, of Newton died Saturday, February 9, 2002 in Silsbee. Fullen was a native of Milam and had lived in Newton several years. He was retired from Sun Oil Company and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors: a son John B. Fullen, Jr. of Newton; four daughters, Annette Betz, Ruth Bell, and Winona Alice Roberts, all of Newton, and Nita Nolen of Silsbee; a sister Annie Lou Simmons of Newton; eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Feb. 12 at Walter Smith Funeral Home chapel in Newton. Interment was at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Sabine County.
