Notes	The Sabine County Reporter Hemphill, Texas, June 5, 1936 On Saturday, May 30, Bluford McDonald passed away at his home in Yellowpine, at the age of 77. He was born August 10, 1858, at Lidago, Ala. Being an orphan, he accepted the invitation of his brother, at about the age of 10, to come to Gladewater, Texas, where he made his home until manhood. He was first married to Miss Josephine Davis, of Ringgold, La. To this union were born seven sons and two daughters, of whom two sons and one daughter survive, Jim of Yellowpine, Charlie, of Pineland, and Mrs. E. M. Edgar of Wellington, Texas. He was later married, December 24, 1906 to Miss Callie Impson, to whom were born three sons and two daughters, three of whom survive, as follows: Louis and Willie McDonald and Mrs. Hollis Stewart, all of Yellowpine. His widow also survives him. Mr. McDonald was a substantial citizen and an active member of the Baptist church for many years. He was a member of the local school board at the time of his death. The school board was in session at the very time of his death in his home, and he suddenly passed away from attack of heart failure. He lived the greater part of his life in Sabine County. Interment was made in the Oak Hill cemetery Sunday afternoon. Rev. O. M. Corley, of Hemphill, conducted funeral services.
