- Mrs. Barbara "Ann" Cartwright, age 78, long-time resident of San Augustine, passed from this life on Monday, April 1, 2013, surrounded by her family at her residence in San Augustine.
Ann was born to Maureen (Partin) Perry and Sydney Perry on August 15, 1934, in San Augustine, Texas. She attended Stephen F. Austin College. She was retired from the State of Texas working for the Department of Human Resources.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Doug Fincher officiating. Interment will be in the San Augustine City Cemetery in San Augustine. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, April 3, 2013, from the hours of 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas 75972.
Those who are left to cherish her memory include, her husband, John M. Cartwright, Sr., of San Augustine; Sons and daughters-in-law, John Cartwright, Jr., and his wife, Mila of Dallas; Mark Cartwright and his wife, Sharon of Bastrop, Texas; Robert Cartwright and his wife, Laurie of San Augustine; Michael Cartwright and his wife, Joni Cartwright of San Augustine; Daughter and Son-in-law, Sissy Harris and her husband, Rob of Nacogdoches; 9 Grandchildren, Clint, Lyn, Cami, Les, Amber, Ryan, Chelsi, Mackenzie, and Garrett; 3 Great-grandchildren, McKenna, Wyley, Presleigh, and Kat; Brother and Sister-in-law, William R. Perry and his wife, Sue Perry of Brenham, Texas; Sister-in-law, Betty Jean Cartwright of San Augustine; half-sister, Karen Kent and her husband, Dale of San Augustine.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Sidney Perry and her Mother, Maurine P. Fussell, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Baxter and Anna V. Cartwright, and also Brother-in-law, Baxter Polk Cartwright.
Pallbearers include Chris Cullipher, Ford Cartwright, Phil Sublett, Vernon Partin, Herman Shofner, and Stephen Hays. Honorary Pallbearers will include, Cleo Hines and Jason Hines.
