Hoy Brown, 82, San Augustine, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1995, at his residence.
Born March 28, 1913, in Hornbeck, Louisiana, he had lived in San Augustine several years. He was a member of Liberty Hills Baptist Church and retired building contractor.
Survivors: wife, Elaine Brown of San Augustine; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Dr. William E. Watson of Lufkin; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Dale and Wanda Brown of Longview; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Bronw Metteauer of Nacogdoches; sisters, Ovie Short and Lula Bell Chance, both of Fred, and Mozell O'Brien of Washington; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Ricky P. Brown and Arlis Ray Brown.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, San Augustine, with Bro. L. D. "Buddy" Pratt and Bro. Lou Dane officiating. Interment was a Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were handled by Wyman Roberts Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines of Lufkin.
