- Mark Steven Williamson, Sr., age 60, of Pineland, Texas passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends.
Steve, known to many as "Homeboy", was born in Houston, Texas on October 14, 1960 to John Wayne Williamson and Barbara Ann Dickerson Williamson.
He was a graduate of West Sabine High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Pineland. He was also a member of the United States National Guard. He spent most of his life in Sabine County and loved living in lakes area.
Steve worked at Big Chief Grocery during his high school years. After graduation, he moved to Orange and where he worked as a meat processor. He ended his career in construction work where he worked in welding and pipefitting.
Steve was a Christian man. He loved his family most of all. He was the most kind hearted soul that never met a stranger and he had many friends all over. Fishing and playing golf was some of his favorite pass times. He would drive many miles just to fish or golf.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Teresa Graham Williamson of Pineland, his mother, Barbara Dickerson of Pineland, his children, Darrell Wayne Williamson and Kendra A. Williamson and husband, Bo Brown, all of Pineland, his brother, Mike Williamson and wife, Judy, of Arkansas, his sister, Lisa Welch and husband, Doug, of Pineland, brother-in-law, David Forse, sister and brother-in-law, Randy Goudy and wife, Stephanie, his grandchildren, Kiera Williamson, Madison Williamson, Cali Brown, Damon Brown, Baylee White, Landen White and Jaeda Williamson, all of Pineland and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark S. Williamson, Jr., his father, John Wayne Williamson, his brother, Wayne Williamson, his sister, Nancy Forse and mother-in-law, Lillie V. Toddhunter.
Visitation will be held from 5:pm, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Bethel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 854 U.S. Hwy 96, Pineland, Texas.
Funeral services will begin at 10am, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in Bethel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Brother Joe Caraway officiating.
Burial will follow services in Bethel Chapel Cemetery with Jerry Dickerson, Ronnie Ledoux, Goat King, Sonny Armstrong, Ernest Miller, George Welch and Wayne Durden serving as pallbearers.
