He graduated from Texas Military Institute in San Antonio and later earned his associate's degree and worked in the medical field as an X-Ray Technician. He was a member of Oakhill Baptist Church. Bruce is survived by his wife, Stacey Winslow of Hemphill; step-mother, Shirley Winslow of Hemphill; son, Jonathan Winslow of Nacogdoches; daughters, Katherine Walker and husband, Neil, of Katy, Texas, Emberlee Winslow of Hemphill, and Kenedee Hargrove of Hemphill; sister, Angie Bishop and husband, Victor, of Clarksville, Texas; step-brother, Sonny Payne of Nederland; step-sister, Paula Pruitt of Katy; and two grandchildren, Tristan Walker and Riggs Walker. He was preceded in death by his father, Grover Winslow; his mother, Mildred Birdwell; sisters, Marsha Bean and Kimberly Winslow; and an infant brother.
