He was an avid reader and gardener, and he loved to care for his yard and travel. Survivors: wife, Rufina; son: Stanley (Nancy) Butterfield; daughter, Karen (Bill) Blackford; grandchildren, Allison Bryan, Kristin Butterfield, Melissa Viox, Tom Blackford and Aaron Butterfield; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Donald; son, Steven Butterfield. Memorial service: 10 a.m., Friday June 17, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln.
