KIRBYVILLE '96 George W. King, 85, of Kirbyville died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday at his home after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home with burial in Zion Hill Cemetery near Jasper.
A native of Milam, he had lived in Kirbyville 42 years and was a retired grocer and a World War I veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Pinkie Strickland King of Kirbyville; three sons, Olen King of Dam B, R.D. King of Brazoria and Elray King of Jasper; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
