Tech. Sgt. John Matthew Johnson, 30, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, in Wichita, Kansas. Matthew was born December 11, 1986 in Houston, Texas to John Nelson Johnson and Suzanne McCalip.
Matthew held the rank of Technical Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force stationed in Wichita, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Johnson, of Wichita; sons, Ethan Johnson and Evan Johnson of Wichita; and daughter, Emily Johnson of Wichita. Also, by his father, John Nelson Johnson and wife, Myra, of Deer Park, Texas; his mother, Suzanne Geaslen and husband, Phillip, Sr. of Spring, Texas; brother; Craig Geaslen wife, Kaysie, of Midland, Texas; sisters, Jennifer Bramwell and husband, Douglas of College Station, Texas, Christi Paris and husband, Christopher, of Spring, Texas, and Christy Mapes and husband, Samuel of Deer Park, Texas; grandparents, Rosemary McGown McGee of Lake Jackson, Texas, Jim Johnson and wife, Polly, of Cold Springs, Texas, and Arthur Geaslen of Spring, Texas.
Military graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 2017, in McGown Cemetery, Hwy. 21 W, Milam, Texas, under the direction of Starr Funeral Home.
