- Wilma Jean Waldon Dickerson 74, passed away Wednesday morning, March 3, 2016, in the Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill, Texas. Wilma was born in Jasper, Texas to Charlie and Mona Easley Latham. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for the Nursing Home. She was a member of the Bronson Revival Center in Bronson, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, step mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Robert F. Dickerson of Hemphill, six sons: Robert Gene Dickerson of Hemphill, Charles Paul Dickerson of Milam, Tommy Glenn Dickerson of Hemphill, Billy John Waldon of Hemphill, Bobby Arlon Waldon of Hemphill, and Steven Dewayne Waldon of Galveston, her daughter Jeannie Adkison of Center; six brothers and sisters: Elna Kincel of Hemphill, Donald Latham of Pineland, Ronnie Latham of Lufkin, Margie Williams of Broaddus, Dorothy Bayless of Pineland, and Christine Jacks of Hudson; six step-children; Judy Latham of Lufkin, Texas, Benny Waldon of Alverado, Texas, Buddy Waldon of Hemphill,Jan Linzy of Lufkin, Texas Rita Albrecht of Houston,Texas and Regina Rock of Houston, Texas,fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mona and Charlie Melvin Latham, her son Terry Joe Dickerson, her sister Marcille Latham, her brother Gerald Latham, and her other sister Barbara Ann Bragg.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00PM, Friday, March 5, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St. Hemphill, Texas. Funeral service will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, March 6, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery, in Hemphill, Texas.
