Mrs. Lawrence was a beautician, but her most important mission in life was to be a loving wife and mother, and faithful witness to her family and friends. She was a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Phillip L. and Mehe Lawrence of Spring Branch, Texas Son-in-law, Richard Smelley of Lufkin Daughter, Candace M. Tabor of Cypress, Texas Grandchildren-12 Great-grandchildren-5 Brothers and sisters-in-law, John A. and Helen McCarty of Lufkin and John W. Jr. and Gwenn McCarty of Galeveton, Texas. Sisters, Marie Langford and Becks Ward, both of Lufkin. Mrs. Lawrence was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Samuel Lawrence, Jr.; daughter, Arlie S.
