Magdalena was born April 1, 1930 in Brilliant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Clarita Aguilar. She was also preceded in death by her husband Albert M. Ashe. She is survived by her children: Arthur and wife Joann Ashe of Albuquerque, Robert and wife Debbi Ashe of Albuquerque, Alberta McLemore of Fort Worth, Texas; Clara and husband Cid Mesillas of Albuquerque, Adeline Vigil of Pueblo, Colo., Simon and wife Marie Ashe of Albuquerque, and Gerald Ashe and Elizabeth Salais of Westminster, Colo. She has 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will take place Saturday, March 5, at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick-St. Joseph's Catholic Church on 105 Buena Vista St. in Raton. Rite of committal and interment will follow at the Fairmont Cemetery on 500 Sugarite Ave., Raton. Active pallbearers are Filbert "Sonny" Trujillo, Frankie Lovato, Greg Hanoumis, Robert Ashe, Jr., Ernie Perea, and Chris Perea. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Sena, Charles Aguilar, Joe Garcia, Phill Sedillo, Joseph Mesillas, and Simon Ashe, Jr. Funeral arrangements for Magdalena Aguilar Ashe are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
