A9 Rites Set For Leon Needle, Former Insurance Agent Funeral services for Leon Needle, a retired insurance salesman, will be conducted at 1 P.M. today at the Sol Levinson and Brothers funeral establishment, 6010 Reisterstown road. Mr. Needle, who was 66, dfied Wednesday at Sinai Hosptial after a long illness. He lived at 7508 Slade avenue, in Pikesville. Operated Restaurant Up until seven years ago when he retired due to illness, Mr. Needle worked for 18 years as a salesman for the Sun Life Insurance Company of America. Before joining the company, Mr. Needle owned and operated a restaurant in the city. Mr. Needle also had been active in community affairs by helping raise funds for a number of charity organizations. He was also active in sports, such as golf, fishing and baseball. Wife Among Survivors As a young man he had regularly played baseball with a number of amateur leagues in the Baltimore area. Survivors include his wife, the former Dora Sugar, of Pikesville; a daughter, Mrs. Stanford Land, of Randallstown; tow brothers, Harry Needle and Philip Needle of Baltimore; one sister, Mrs. Zelda Hirsch, also of Baltimore, and three grandchildren.
