John Kenneth Iles, 85, died Wednesday morning, December 30, 2009 at the Medical Center of South East Texas in Port Arthur, Texas.
He was born on August 17, 1924, in Orange, Texas. Mr. Iles lived in Hemphill until he joined the Marines in 1947. After his service in the Marine Corps he moved to Port Arthur and was a machinist for J & L Steel.
He is survived by his wife Geneva Iles of Port Arthur, two sons, James Thomas Iles of Port Arthur and Don Iles and wife Angelia of Hemphill, Texas. John Kenneth is also survived by one sister, Mildred Iles Jordan and husband Marvin of Hemphill. Four Grandchildren; John Daniel, Christopher Allan, Cataitlyn Diane, and Makenna Elise.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Saturday, January 2, 2010, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel, Hemphill, Texas.
Burial will follow in the Hemphill Cemetery, Hemphill, Texas.
