Naaman Karr Instantly Killed in Auto Crash
Naaman Karr, 79, of Kingston was instantly killed Wednesday afternoon when a care he was riding in collided with a vehicle driven by Mrs. Marr, Flint, on M-21.
The crash occured with Mrs. Marr attempted to make a right-hand turn into a gas station and was struck by a care driven by Amber Jones, Kingston.
Both Mrs. Marr and Mr. Jones are in a Flint hospital, badly injured.
Mr. Karr was well known in the Cass City area. He moved her from his birthplace in Seagraves, Canada, with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Karr, at the age of eight.
While still a young man, he moved to Kingston and was in the funeral business there for 50 years. He sold his business and retired Sept. 1, 1951.
Funeral services have been arranged for Saturday at the Methodist Church in Kingston. Burial will be in the Elkland Towship Cemetery, Cass City.
Surviving are his widow, Ethel; two sons, Mark of Onaway and Harold of Alpena; a stepson, William Ruhl of Pontiac; four grandchildren, and several nieces.
