  Notes	From FindAGrave: Edward Leon Crouch of Bend died Sunday, Nov. 9, of natural causes. He was 85. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Church of Christ in Bend. Mr. Crouch was born April 25, 1918, in Lufkin, Texas, to Floyd and Zelda (Gary) Crouch. He married Florence Allen on June 6, 1945, in Lufkin. He served in the Army during World War II and attained the rank of master sergeant. Mr Crouch awarded the Bronze Star. Mr. Crouch was the owner of several area businesses including the Crouch Candy Company, Cascade Furniture and Upholstery and Coffee and Company. He retired in 1998. Mr. Crouch was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Eagles and a past grand master of the Masonic Lodge. He had been a resident of Bend since 1947. Mr. Crouch played in a country-western band, the Melodiers. He also enjoyed water skiing, skiing, hunting, camping, football, softball, reading, music and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Dorothy Olsen, Ann Gladden and Patsy Roome, all of Bend; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bend High School Alumni Fund. Niswonger, Reynolds Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
