Vivian Ruth Crocker
Passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. Age 84 years. Vivian R. Ferguson was born February 7, 1924 in Midland to the late Lawrence and Edith (Spaulding) Ferguson. She married Glendon B. Crocker on December 21, 1946 in Saginaw. He survives her.
Vivian attended Olivet Nazarene College in Illinois where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She then taught at Saginaw Township Schools and the Swan Valley Public Schools, retiring in 1986. Vivian loved to travel, listen to music and spend time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Glendon; their children, Gary G. Crocker of Saginaw, Carolyn R. (Alan) Cook of Grand Blanc, Randall J. (Jolee) Crocker of West Branch, Bruce E. (Shawna) Crocker of Stiles, WI; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. Vivian was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Chisholm. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Vivian will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene, 1815 Tittabawassee Rd., Rev. Randy Owens will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Vivian will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
