    • GOLDTHWAITE ? Thomas C. Neal Sr., 70, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2012, at his residence. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Center City Baptist Church. Service is at 2 p.m. today at the church with burial in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.

      Survivors include his children, Dianne Chandler of Farmerville, La., Shannon Dean of San Antonio; Lynda Miletto of Baton Rouge, La., Angelia Morgan of Rio Vista, Attice Meyer of Tolar and Thomas C. Neal Jr. of Hemphill.

      Thomas C. Neal

      Thomas C. Neal, 70, Sr. of Goldthwaite passed away December 15, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family.

      He was born Nov. 23 1942 to John and Bernice Neal in Refugio. He and his wife, Joye Melton married in 1962 in Irving. Neal moved from Hemphill eight years ago. He was a member of Center City Baptist Church. He was the owner/operator of a marine dealership. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Raised in Refugio, moving to Irving as a young man to raise his family. He moved to Hemphill and opened a successful boat dealership before retiring and moving to Center City, where he and Joye enjoyed raising cattle and being together. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working outside. He was a hard worker and instilled that work ethic in his family.

      Preceded in death by his wife of 50 eyars, Joy Imogene; parents John and Bernice Neal; sister, Eva Jean Douglas; and brother John Henry Neal.

      He is survived by: six children, Dianne Chandler and Albert of Farmersville, La, Shannon Dean of San Antonio, Lynda Miletello and John of Baton Rouge, La, Angelia Morgan and Ron of Rio Vista, Attice Meyer and Jay of Tolar, Thomas C. Neal, Jr. and Karen of Hemphill; and 14 grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

      Services were held at Center City Baptist Church on Monday, Dec. 17, with Dallas Huston and Barton Turner officiating. Interment followed at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
