- (Research):Shown on Ancestry.com as a daughter of Joshua BURGESS and Frances Louisa GEORGE. Karen G. Barton lists the same parents, writing that Joshua was born 4 Jan 1851 in Missouri and died 5 Sept 1929 in Oklahoma. He was suffering a terminal illness, and committed suicide by jumping in a well. Frances was born 2 Apr 1856 in Tennessee, and died 24 Feb 1892.
Karen Barton writes that Frances had a twin brother, Franklin Earl who died 2 Apr 1943. Older siblings were James Jonathan (25 Mar 1877), William Edgar (2 Jun 1879), Margaret Bell (23 Jul 1880), Thomas Joshua (13 Jun 1883), and twins Joseph Marvin and Mary Josephine (10 Aug 1886).
