  Notes	Ruby Boyett Burkett writes that Ethel Dred Boyett was married three times: to Elizabeth Jane RUSSELL, by whom he had four children: Charlotte, Felix, William, and Eliza Ann BOYETT. He and Sarah SAUCER had six children. He and Nancy PORTER had another six children. He may have been married a fourth time, as at the time of the 1880 Census, his wife, age 36 and born in Georgia, was listed as Margaret. In a letter from Nan McCoy Kittell to Melinda Strong on June 25, 1999, Nan wrote "that Ethel Dred Boyette was buried Spring Branch cemetery near Springfield LA with his 3rd wife; his parents believed to be Edward and Rebecca Boyett, Sr." She further wrote that "Boit" is the correct way to pronounce the name, although some family members use "Boy-ett."
