- Mary Frances Byley, 88, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Saturday morning, November 14, 2020 in Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
Mary Frances was born in Bronson, Texas on May 27, 1932 to Hollis Burl Clark and Yvonne Bennett. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine County and she was a teacher. During her teaching career, she taught at Bronson, Pineland and Orange Schools and then at Hemphill ISD, where she taught for many, many years before retiring. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Hemphill. She loved teaching and in her spare time, she enjoyed reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Byley.
Mary Frances is survived by her daughter, Kathy Fitzgerald and husband, B. A., of Hemphill; cousin, Earline Conn of Spring, Texas; sister-in-law, Mozell Byley of Nacogdoches; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2020 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.
Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in Bronson Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating.
