- The "Click Family Tree" on Ancestry.com shows him as Joseph Herman Click, a son of James G. Click and Elizabeth Jane Middleton. He was listed as being born in Madison County, Alabama on 29 Dec 1833, and dying in Remling, Sabine County, Texas on 23 April 1923, and interred at the Brookeland Cemetery in Sabine County. In her annotated transcripton of the Brookeland Cemetery, Kay Parker McCary also shows him as Joseph Herman Click, with his parents being the same couple listed above. His tombstone is engraved J. H. Click, 29 Dec 1833-23 Apr 1923, Gone but Not Forgotten.
His parents, James and Elizabeth Click, are shown on the Click as being married in Madison County, Alabama, and living there at the time of both the 1840 and 1850 census. Their other children were shown as Elizabeth Jane Click (1820-1879), James Clayton Click (1824-1860), Harris M. Click (1830-???), Richard F. Click (1830-1923), JOSEPH HERMAN, Eleanor Click (1833-???), Susan S. Click (1834-1908), and Silas Click (1844-???).
