Ruby Cartwright Chapman
Sunset MP, Nacogdoches
Funeral services for Ruby Cartwright Chapman, 97, of Nacogdoches, will be held Monday, February 20, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with the Rev. Billy McCall, Baptist Minister of Lufkin, officiating and Pastor Elias Vajerio of Memorial Baptist Church assisting. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. Chapman passed away Friday, February 17, 2006 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Ruby Cartwright Chapman was born in San Augustine County December 20, 1908, to Sanford Leon and Cora Becton Cartwright. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her husband, John Manning Chapman, her parents, her sisters, Earlene Sasser and Dorothy Wood and her brothers Laura Cartwright and Vernice Cartwright.
Mrs. Chapman is survived by two sons; Devereux Chapman and wife Jean of Lufkin, Texas; Jack Chapman and wife, Faye of Lancaster, Texas; sister, Nettie Ruth King of Nacogdoches; six granddaughters, Dani Cordova and husband Scott of Houston, Texas; Debbie Rogers and husband Patrick of Austin, Texas; Barbara Baxter and husband Brian of Norris, Tennessee; Susan Chapman of Dallas, Texas; Kristen Baxter and Mindy Baxter of Norris, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Ashlee Lyons and husband Jeff of Magnolia, Texas; Stephanie Rogers of Austin, Texas; three great-grandsons, Blake Cordova of Houston, Texas; Jeremy and Derek Rogers of Austin, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and special care giver Yolanda Henderson of Nacogdoches. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Sunday. Memorials may be made to Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund. Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors
