Clarice Conner Clark
January 3, 1926 - October 28, 2011
Clarice Conner Clark was born the third daughter to Lorena Edgar Conner and Starlin Wesley Conner on January 3, 1926. She left this world to be with her Lord on October 28, 2011. She is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband of 50 years, Paul D. Clark, and her sister Rosa Lee Smith, her nephew Raymon Smith, her brothers-in-law Clyde Smith and Dr. L.G. Thomas and her step-father Carrol Dickey. She is survived by her two sisters Leta Corley and husband Lee of Hemphill and Vernell Thomas of Palestine. Clarice is also survived by daughters Louisa Ryan of Dallas and Anice Carter and her husband Terry of Van. She was blessed with grandchildren Melissa Wyrick and her husband Duncan, and Melinda Carter, of Van, TX. Her great grandchildren are Carter McClanahan and his wife Allison, MarLee Carr and her husband Jeremy, Tyler Carter, Jacob Wyrick and Tobi Wyrick. The latest addition is one great great granddaughter, CharLee Hope Carr. Mrs. Clark was Aunt Clarcy to her nieces and nephews on the Conner side. She was Aunt Clarice to the Clark relatives and to many of their friends as well. Mrs. Clark worked for the City of Pineland, Toledo Bend Dam Authority, as a self-employed poultry grower and for the Sabine County Sheriff's Department. She was a member of the Order of the Easter Star in both the Hemphill and Bronson Chapters. She was a Past Matron. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday Oct. 31, 2011, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, TX. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Clarice will be interned with her husband Paul and both her parents at the Oak Hill Cemetery in the Six Mile area.
