  Notes	Cass City Chronicle Thursday, December 9, 1962 Page Seven Kurt Hanes funeral held Saturday Funeral services for Kurt Richard Hanes, 78, of Snover, were held Saturday at the Hacker Funeral Parlors in Sandusky. Officiating were Rev. Charles Kitchenmaster and Rev. Allen Lewis of Snover. Burial was in Elkland Township Cemetery. Hanes died last Wednesday at his home near Snover after a long illness. The son of Samuel and Richard HANES, he was born in Vincennes, Ind. Surviving are his wife, the former Lena JOOS of Cass City; two sons, George of Indiana and Raymond of Sandusky; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Fay Lou) VINCENT of Indiana and Mrs. Eric (Patricia) HERRMANNS of California; six grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Issues published from 1961 through 1964 were not assigned volume numbers, and 1963 appears to be missing. Xeroxes of the existing issues were also made by Melinda McLemore Strong in 2007. According to a article published by the Cass City Chronicle on August 6, 1981, commemorating the Fiftieth and Final Striffler-Benkelman Reunion, the final issue of the STRIFFLER-BENKELMAN BROADCAST appears to have been Volume 28, published in 1968.), Vol. 7, September 4, 1944 (Reliability: 3).
