Glenn Harper officiating. Burial will be in San Augustine City Cemetery. Blount died Aug. 15, 2004, in San Augustine. Born Feb. 16, 1916, in Denning, she was the daughter of Dr. W.K. Freeman and Lucette Teel. She had been a schoolteacher and was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Survivors include a daughter, Lucette Blount Bennett of Jackson, Miss.; son, Dr. Tom Blount of San Augustine; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
