- A H. R. McClemers/McLemore, of Morton, Scott County, Mississippi applied for an indigent soldier confederate pension on 17 July 1915, at the age of 72 . He was a widower, and life long resident of Mississippi. He stated he enlisted in April 1862, into the 39th Mississippi, Co. C, Captain Callum, Commander Shelby, and served for the balance of the war. He noted he had been injured in a fall in 1865 at Blakely/Bloxly, Alabama. He stated that he had 3 surviving sons and 1 daughter.
